Terms of Service

Last updated: April 17, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of PageAudit (“Service”), operated at pageaudit.xyz. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Nature of the Service

PageAudit is an automated web accessibility analysis tool that scans publicly accessible URLs and identifies potential accessibility issues based on WCAG 2.2 guidelines, using the open-source axe-core rule engine.

The Service does not guarantee WCAG compliance, ADA compliance, or any other regulatory conformance. Automated scanning can only detect a subset of possible accessibility issues (industry estimates place this at roughly 30–40% of all WCAG success criteria). Comprehensive accessibility conformance requires manual audit by qualified accessibility experts. The Service is intended as a starting point in your accessibility work, not as a substitute for expert review.

2. Accounts and Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate account information.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Scan URLs you are not authorized to test;
  • Overload, stress-test, or interfere with the Service's infrastructure;
  • Bypass rate limits, quotas, or feature gating through technical means;
  • Resell, sublicense, or white-label the Service without a written agreement;
  • Violate applicable laws or third-party rights.

4. Subscriptions and Payment

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly by Polar.sh, our merchant of record, in US Dollars. By subscribing, you authorize Polar.sh to charge your payment method on each billing cycle until you cancel.

You may cancel at any time through the Polar customer portal (linked from your Settings page). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are issued. Plans automatically renew unless cancelled.

We may change pricing. Price changes will be communicated at least 30 days before they take effect and will not apply to billing cycles already paid.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY.

We make no warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free; that scan results will be complete, accurate, or reliable; or that the Service will meet your legal or regulatory obligations.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PageAudit and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Service.

Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve-month period immediately preceding the claim, or USD 100 if no payment was made, whichever is greater.

You acknowledge that scan results are automated and may be incomplete or inaccurate. You agree that decisions about accessibility, legal compliance, or regulatory reporting based on scan results are made at your own risk.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PageAudit, its operators, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use or misuse of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third party's rights, including intellectual property or privacy rights; or (d) your reliance on scan results for legal, regulatory, or compliance decisions.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, software, and branding of the Service are owned by PageAudit or its licensors. The axe-core scanning engine is licensed under the Mozilla Public License 2.0. You retain all rights to the URLs and content you scan; we claim no ownership of scan targets or their content.

9. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time through the Settings page. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, engage in abuse, or fail to pay. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately.

10. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or on-site notice. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in Seoul, Republic of Korea.
